This is a quick note, mainly for myself, about what is happening with my blog today. I started this blog in March of 2008. The inspiration came from my husband, who is a successful internet blogger. I thought it would be a fun thing to do, and I didn’t have any particular goal in mind. My blog is kind of a hodge-podge of everything. It’s a personal blog, so I pretty much write about whatever comes to my mind.

This is my 89th post. So far I have total of 179 comments and my Google page rank is 3/10. Based on Google Analytics stats, my blog currently averages a little over 90 visitors per day (less on the weekends), with an average of 1.4 pages visited per visitor. Time spend on my site is pothetic, about 1 minute per visitor. About 81% of my traffic comes from search engines, 12% from referring sites and 8% of it is direct.

My most popular post is Intelligender Gender Prediction Test Review, which averages about 8 times more traffic than my second popular post. My other most popular posts are the beauty product reviews, mainly from the Seacret Spa line. Surprisingly my post about Homemade Sushi is popular as well.

My personal posts usually stop getting any hits after couple of days from the time of posting. I am not surprised, most people search for something that could be useful for them, like the reviews or how-to’s.

So my stats are telling me that I have no returning audience. It doesn’t surprise me either, since I don’t network much on other blogs, forums or Twitter. It’s just not that important for me at this time.

I am giving a thought of checking out the membership program that my hubby put together, called Blog Masters Club, which he is launching on Tuesday, 1/26/10. Since I’m his wife, I get to join for free, and I believe I could learn a thing or two about blogging from him !
