Beautiful Italy
We went to Italy for our honeymoon in March of 2007. I loved the experience, Italy is just beautiful. Since we only had about 9 days, we only happened to visit the most popular tourist attractions, like Venice, Florence and Rome. I am hoping to come back and visit the quieter, less popular sites of this beautiful country.

Big News About Little Thing
Okay, the news is out… If you haven’t guessed yet, we have a 2nd on the way! It’s hard to believe but sometime in February we’ll be the proud parents of two! Event though we don’t have official confirmation yet, I think I’m about 10 weeks along.
We started to get serious about getting pregnant in April and I believe the conception happened sometime in May. I am so glad that I didn’t have to deal with all the temperature recordings, the ovulation kits and whatever else modern science has to offer. Husband was very happy too since the pressure is off! Coincidentally our first one happened pretty fast as well, I literally got pregnant on the day after our wedding.
Now for the third week I’m dealing with the annoyance of morning sickness. It isn’t nearly as bad as it was with the first one, but it’s still pretty real. And I am not nearly as tired as I was the first time around during my first trimester. The smells still disturb me to the point of getting sick. Smelling husband’s body wash, bad breath, certain fried food, baby’s poop, etc can really set me off. On the good note I managed to switch my husband to the herbal body wash and it tremendously helped my nose situation (thank you honey
).
It’s hard to believe that I’ve been pregnant for quarter of the way already. Time flies so fast, the baby will be here before we know it. I truly have no preference for the baby’s sex. We already have a girl and if we happen to have a boy, it would be great. Then we’ll have one of each. But if we end up with another girl, the girls will become BFFs (best friends forever) hopefully without too much drama in between. My husband might have to move out of the house every 30 days due to estrogen excess.
As of now I am planning on doing weekly video updates about my pregnancy. So if you are interested, tune in and see what happens!!
Happy Birth Day David
Dedicated to my dear husband David for his 31st birthday
The celebration is in order
Today you are a whole year older!
I didn’t know what to get you,
The poem seemed to be the perfect venue.
Stuff you can buy yourself, I know,
But I wanted to be more personal, you know.
And since you’re one ‘mean’ blogger dude,
With one successful attitude,
I wish you great success in business,
A lot of money, loyal friendships,
To prosper, flourish and love work,
Enjoyment of your younger years,
Stay strong, benevolent and loving,
Just as you are my knight in shining armor!
Bathroom Talk
Husband looking in the bathroom mirror: “I’m ugly.”
Me, looking in the bathroom mirror next to him: “Me too.”
Husband: “You’re a real confidence buster!”
Me: “You’re welcome.”
Weigh In At The Gym
I decided to do a body composition evaluation at my gym today. They recommend to do it once per month, but I haven’t done one since August of last year. Even though my weight and my BMI (Body Mass Index) are considered to be in the normal range, my goal is to slim down to my pre-pregnancy weight. Before I got pregnant I weighed 125 pounds and at the time of my evaluation in August I weighed 138.5.
So today I was anxious to see my progress between August and now. I was pretty sure that I lost weight based on how my clothes fit me now, but I was quite surprised to find that I only lost less than 2 pounds! Well, weight is not everything I guess. According to my measurements, I lost some inches everywhere. The biggest difference was in my waist, it’s 2 inches smaller now! My guess is that I did loose some fat and gained some muscle. I think I also had some of that post-pregnancy puffiness back then. Glad it’s gone now!
Well, I still got some work to do to reach my goal. This requires loosing 12 pounds. I know it’s not an easy road, but as long as I strive I’ll be there some day.
